Mock Draft Tracker #5

NFL Draft Site (updated)

Kansas City (9-7)- Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC

This is the steal of the draft so far, Jarrett is a 6' 4" 210 pound touchdown machine. I think Jarrett is a better talent than Keyshawn Johnson, who was the top pick in the 1996 NFL Draft. The Chiefs really need a left tackle but there aren't any left on the draft boards worthy of this lofty draft spot.

The Football Expert
Robert Meacham, WR Tennessee

Please. Take a wide receiver. Now. Meacham has outstanding tools. He has great speed but showed he can go over the middle. Perfect pick.

NFL.com
Meacham was impressive at the Combine and the Chiefs need some youthful speed opposite Tony Gonzalez.
Another NFL.com mock draft
Kansas City: Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU -- The Achilles heel of the Chiefs offense is the lack of a big-time playmaker at wide receiver. Bowe has the speed and size that is perfect for the Chiefs.
Six Talking Heads
Kansas City Chiefs – Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina

Rice is young, with great size and athleticism. He lacks elite speed, but his upside and KC’s need for a wide receiver makes this pick a smart one.

Tally
First Round Choice
WR
24 Dwayne Bowe (9) Sidney Rice (8) Ted Ginn Jr. (2) Robert Meachem (3) Dwayne Jarrett (2)
OT
6 Levi Brown (4) Tony Ugoh (2)
CB
1 Leon Hall (1)
LB
1 Patrick Willis (1)
DT
1 Amobi Okoye (1)

Meacham's stock went up apparently. He had a great combine from what I've been seeing. Which doesn't sway me one bit. I still like Bowe or Jarrett if we can snag him.
