I don't want him but Adam Schefter seems to think Kansas City is a logical spot for Pennington to end up.
Jets QB Chad Pennington is expected to surface on a team that is grooming a young quarterback not yet ready to play. There are two logical possibilities. The most intriguing is the Kansas City Chiefs, where Pennington would be reunited with his former Jets head coach, Herm Edwards. The others would be the Minnesota Vikings, a team that already has added former Jets quarterback Brooks Bollinger, and the Carolina Panthers, who recently brought in another former Jets quarterback, Vinny Testaverde. But NFL personnel people said Monday they didn't believe Pennington would fetch much in a trade for the Jets, if anything at all. -- NFL NetworkI have never, ever been a Chad Pennington guy. I really dislike quarterbacks with weak arms. The only way Pennington comes to KC (and there is a .1% chance he will) is if Damon Huard is injured in the coming weeks. Even then, it seems it would be too tempting for Herm Edwards to throw Brodie Croyle in there as is.
We'll put this one in the "Lack of better news" category.
