The official Chiefs site has a breakdown on this morning's training camp in River Falls.
Seems pretty standard- veterans sitting out, hopeful but not too excited. One interesting point was that newly acquired veteran Kyle Turley lined up in the left tackle position, which was just vacated by retiring Pro-Bowler Willie Roaf.
A day after T Willie Roaf did not report to camp and declared his intention to retire, head coach Herm Edwards wasted no time replacing one All-Pro tackle with another during Friday?s PM practice, inserting recently-acquired T Kyle Turley into the left tackle position. Turley has previously excelled at the tackle position and earned All-Pro honors at right tackle with the Saints in 2000. Turley took the majority of reps at left tackle with the first-team, but Edwards made it clear that the tackle positions are up for grabs and expects fierce competition between Turley, Jordan Black, Chris Bober, Kevin Sampson and Will Svitek at the right and left tackle positions.
And Casey Printers also threw the first pick of training camp.
