Trent Green Cleared to Play this Week

But we're not sure if he will. Here's what Carl Peterson had to say:

"We're very pleased to report that we received information this evening that Trent Green has been cleared to begin full practice with the team starting Wednesday," Chiefs president Carl Peterson commented Tuesday night. "It has always been our position to error on the side of caution and we closely followed the advice of the medical team that has examined Trent these past two months. It is their opinion that he is now ready to resume a full practice schedule. I know that our fans and his fellow players from around the NFL will be happy to welcome him back."

As fantastic as this news is, I still believe that Damon Huard should remain the starting QB, unless he has a horrible stretch where he just can't get it done over the next couple of weeks. One thing you can't account for on paper is chemistry. Damon Huard has earned the trust and respect of the Kansas City Chiefs' offense and the city in general. When Trent went down, we all figured the season went down too. Damon Huard has not only kept the Chiefs off of life support but he has done a fantastic job filling in for Trent.

Glad to have you back Trent but Damon Huard is still my guy for the time being.

[editor's note, by Chris] Make sure you keep checking Silver and Black Pride for all things Oakland Raiders. And yes, I know they copied off our name. Too bad they can't duplicate wins....
