Charles Casserly discusses Alabama S Mark Barron going in Top 10 and lays out how his ranking of Barron compares to other highly selected Safeties throughout the league including Berry. "So, how high do you take a safety? That depends on how important the position is to your defense. If it is important, then Barron qualifies as a top-10 pick in this year's draft. Here is how I rate Barron against some highly regarded safeties taken in the top 15 of recent drafts when they were coming out of college ... Rated higher than Barron: • Eric Berry, 2010 draft, fifth pick (Kansas City): Better cover skills, could cover some receivers."
"While he waits for surgery on his left knee, SS Eric Berry is on the practice field every day. He spends time with the secondary and defense and also hits the rehab area where he’s working all body parts except his left leg. Most players on the injured-reserve list disappear from the team"
You have to check out this ESPN recruiting article about the Berry twins, Elliot and Evan. They are the younger brothers of our very own Uric Berry. They will only be sophmores in high school this year, but Pioli should keep an eye on them. Can you imagine a Chiefs secondary that is 3/4 filled with the Berry family? There is a picture currently on the ESPN recruiting home page of the twins. One last note, I apologize for the corny title, couldnt help myself, haha.
Purely academic: Suh or Berry?
I just thought I'd pose this question to start a (hopefully) interesting conversation. OBVIOUSLY we would have never known because Suh was not available when we picked. But if we had, and we know then what we know now, which would you choose?
Both (do / would) add a very interesting and unique dynamic to whatever defense they are put on and are the type of players, I believe, that would flourish anywhere.
I have a very hard time answering this myself, to be honest. What do you guys think?
''If we had another game, I would have made it and I would have been ready,'' Berry said. ''But I have to tell you this: When the season was over, I didn’t do anything for about a month. I didn’t go out or do anything. I was supposed to go home (to Georgia) and I didn’t even book my flight. I just stayed in the house, watched TV. I just sat around the house. I wasn’t used to playing that many games. My body was just through afterwards.''
Ahhh.. Finally some EB love
A guy at work knows how big of a Chiefs fan I am. So after we got a big laugh out of McClusters "Rap" video (cough cough), he sent me this video. Eric Berry is the feature, and it is pretty ridiculous!

Strong Side/Weak Side piece from my online satire portfolio, The Spungo.com
I spent a bit more time on this painting. I think it's closer to "finished." (if there is such a thing) As I've done before, this is Wallpapered Here Enjoy - I think this is my favorite yet. Hard to believe this little guy has more hype surrounding him than Eric Berry. Whodathunkit.
