Learning More about Chiefs 2009 Draft Pick Donald Washington

Some believe the players hold great promise while others question various picks and whether we should have went other directions. Yet one player who divides the most landed right in the middle of the Chiefs draftees - Donald Washington.

Kansas City Chiefs: I really like the Tyson Jackson pick and don’t find it a reach, though taking Alex Magee with the next pick is puzzling as he plays the exact same spot. The rest of their picks appear destined for the practice squad, and Mr. Irrelevant is a 66% FG kicker. No linebackers, no ready-to-play WRs, and just a real reach offensive lineman. I’ve questioned Scott Pioli’s recent drafts in New England, and this sure looks like more of the same--brilliant 1st rounder and then praying for good fortune.

Roll Call for Day Two of the NFL Draft

Hey everyone, I wanted to drop some stats about the blog from over draft weekend. Here is the first Roll Call post I did on Saturday night. I was only able to add up 5 total posts on that post....

Listen, I watched and heard Herm over the weekend. I was a bit busy with the site and stuff, so I didn’t sit down and sternly evaluate his performance. But what I saw is what I expected: it was Herm being Herm. He took issues and questions and tried to explain them in his own way. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it did not. Anybody that expected him to rip apart a draft pick, a team or a player doesn’t know Herm. That’s why they had Mel Kiper on the broadcast. Actually, I enjoyed most of what I saw from the former coach. Considering he’s never been in that forum before, he actually seemed quite comfortable during the Sunday broadcast.

Chiefs News Chiefs Update | Chiefs Football at BobGretz.com Herm's added very little to ESPN's draft broadcast IMO, further convincing me that the only requirement to be a TV sports caster is to not totally screw up.
