Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft -- Pick #30 by the Green Bay Packers

And with the 30th pick in the 2008 Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft, the Green Bay Packers select:

Virginia Tech CB Brandon Flowers

Draft Profile

c-rag with the pick:

While watching the maddening NFC championship, besides Brett Favre throwing the OT interception, the resonating image I have is Plaxico dominating Al Harris and then taunting the GB sidelines to "Find someone to cover me!!!" As this draft was progressing, I was excited to see Aqib Talib continue to be passed over, not only do I think he's be a great fit and give depth as Harris and Woodson are not getting any younger, but I was excited that he'd for sure be the only guy from Wisconsin named Aqib. But when the 'Boys smartly scooped him up, I went down my draft board to find then next available DB. Packers do not have alot of glaring holes in either side of the ball, so this pick would be simply to add youth to an aging CB corps. Therefore, the pick is Brandon Flowers, CB from Virginia Tech. Brandon is a physical corner with good man coverage skills who would be a nice fit in the Packers defensive scheme.
