From a high school senior in Washington state, on his football idol growing up:

"It would have to be Derrick Thomas (Kansas City Chiefs linebacker). My dad and I were big fans of him. I remember watching Thomas, he was just a freak of nature. I remember one game where the offense was backed up near the goaline, Thomas signaled safety to the fans. The next play he sacked the quarterback in the end-zone for a safety. He was just a stud."

He's still having fun

and that's great to see...I was actually surprised that he "retired" - he probably has at least 3 more good years...the guy is Iron Man.

He came out and denied the reports.

You gotta question "anonymous league sources" a lot of the time. I love profootballtalk.com but he gets soo many of his rumors wrong that it's credibility has been tarnished.
