The Lions were one of the worst pass defending teams in the league last year, and were hoping that Derrick Harvey would fall to them in the first round, and are more than happy to select Campbell, who a good amount of mock drafts going late in the first round. Campbell is a beast at 6'7 and almost 300 pounds, but still provides the speed rusher from the end position that they're hoping for and answers a big need that they have on defense. The Lions still have holes to fill on both sides of the ball, but can't pass Campbell slipping to them here, and feel that there's some other players that will still be around with their later picks. For once, Matt Millen looks like he might not be the biggest dumbass in the room when it comes to drafting.
