Chiefs Host Multiple Player Visits Earlier Today

Adam Schefter of the NFL Network reported earlier tonight that the Kansas City Chiefs hosted Matt Ryan, Glenn Dorsey, Vernon Gholston, Ryan Clady and Brandon Albert.

Since I have no other info for the time being, enjoy this video of Glenn Dorsey as Forrest Gump in the BCS Championship game pre game show. Did I just miss this?

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Gholston/Ryan
Both look like smoke screens to me.

Both of these players are coveted by teams slotted just behind us.  Jets/Pats look to be very interested in Gholston, and you know they hate eachother so I could see one of them trading up to grab the guy they want.

Baltimore at #8 wants Ryan.  I hope we are just feigning interest on this one.

Gholston
They might also be looking hard at Gholston in case they get a "gotta do it" deal for Jared Allen.  If they do, replacing him at DE becomes priority #1.

He's not on the trade block
IMO, Allen is going nowhere.  We would pay Gholston similar money, and he isn't a sure thing like Allen is.  That would be an awful deal, I think.

I agree but
But everyone has their price.  If signing Jared is still up in the air and someone offers a great deal, they might HAVE to take it.

From the KC Star
"The Chiefs were planning visits with several other prospects, including many who will be available later in the draft or who could be signed as undrafted free agents.

That list includes offensive linemen Duane Brown of Virginia Tech and Fernando Velasco of Georgia, cornerbacks Brandon Flowers of Virginia Tech, Reggie Corner of Akron and Cary Williams of Washburn and defensive lineman Brian Johnston of Gardner-Webb."

Im intreged by Cary Williams out of Washburn as a later round pick.  He's bigger than Talib and beat his time in the 40.
