Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft -- Pick #16 by the Arizona Cardinals

And with the #16 pick in the 2008 Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select:

Tennessee State CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Draft Profile

jimme with the pick:

Antrel Rolle has been moved to safety which leaves the CB position very thin with only CB Eric Green and CB Rod Hood left at that position.

CB D. Cromartie is probably the most talented CB in the draft and has all the physical tools you look for in a CB. He has the potential to turn into the shutdown CB the Cardinals thought they had in Antrel Rolle.

RB Jonathan Stewart was given a lot of consideration also as he fits the Cardinals power running game perfectly. At number 16, CB Cromartie was considered the best player available and he fits a big need as well. The Cardinals couldn’t pass on him.

1. Miami Dolphins - QB Matt Ryan
2. St. Louis Rams - OT Jake Long
3. Atlanta Falcons - DT Glenn Dorsey
4. Oakland Raiders - DE Chris Long
5. Kansas City Chiefs - DT Sedrick Ellis
6. New York Jets - RB Darren McFadden
7. New England Patriots - DL Vernon Gholston
8. Baltimore Ravens - OT Ryan Clady
9. Cincinnati Bengals - OLB Keith Rivers
10. New Orleans Saints - CB Mike Jenkins
11. Buffalo Bills - CB Leodis McKelvin
12. Denver Broncos - OT Chris Williams
13. Carolina Panthers - DE Derrick Harvey
14. Chicago Bears - RB Rashard Mendenhall
15. Detroit Lions - OT Jeff Otah
16. Arizona Cardinals - CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

On the clock: Minnesota Vikings (PVChiefsFan - I've got his pick and will be posting it in a bit)

Like the pick
I've been hearing rumors that the Pats could be snagging him with the #7 pick as well.  His stock is soaring right now.

Wow
#7? The guy can go from the 2nd round to top 10 in a couple of months?

Yep
And I bet the Pats will take him there.

I have to
agree with you on this.  He is a special guy, but I think when it is all said and done, he will last until the second round.

If he did
and we already had our tackle (Long, or somebody else) would we draft him?

One thing
that worrys me about him is that right now, me and him are the same size and weigh the same as well. Considering that I am a university student who drinks a bit too much beer on the weekends, I am not impressed by the fact that he can't put on ATLEAST an extra 10 pounds. You can't play defense in the NFL unless you are an amazing talent or you are atleast over 190 pounds. Not saying that he won't be good or that this isn't a good pick, but I'm glad the Chiefs won't draft him because I feel like there are too many question marks for him to go this high.
