Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft -- Pick #14 by the Chicago Bears

And with the #14 pick in the 2008 Arrowhead Pride Community Mock Draft, the Chicago Bears select:

Illinois RB Rashard Mendenhall

Draft Profile

kchief1990 with the pick:

The Bears have similar problems to the Chiefs with their line under performing and need an OT, but they can pick one up in the second or third round and use this pick on a skill player. The Bears are a run first team and Cedric Benson has not lived up to expectations while playing and has proven to be a bit injury prone.

At 5'11 and 224 pounds, Rashard Mendenhall has nice prototypical RB size complemented by a 4.40 average 40 time. He runs with a low center of gravity and has the patience to let blocks develop in front of him. While his breaking tackle ability is average he makes up for it with very good instincts. He hits holes well and can make a 1 yard gain turn into a 4 yard gain time after time. Ideally he can come in and have a Joseph Addai type of impact on the Bears.

1. Miami Dolphins - QB Matt Ryan
2. St. Louis Rams - OT Jake Long
3. Atlanta Falcons - DT Glenn Dorsey
4. Oakland Raiders - DE Chris Long
5. Kansas City Chiefs - DT Sedrick Ellis
6. New York Jets - RB Darren McFadden
7. New England Patriots - DL Vernon Gholston
8. Baltimore Ravens - OT Ryan Clady
9. Cincinnati Bengals - OLB Keith Rivers
10. New Orleans Saints - CB Mike Jenkins
11. Buffalo Bills - CB Leodis McKelvin
12. Denver Broncos - OT Chris Williams
13. Carolina Panthers - DE Derrick Harvey
14. Chicago Bears - RB Rashard Mendenhall

On the clock: Detroit Lions (Chiefs n Chopper)

The Bears need help at RB in the worst way.

I think
they will give their current QB shenanigans more chances (why? I don't know), and a WR here might be a reach.
