Boise State offensive lineman Ryan Clady, ranked as the #2 offensive tackle in the draft, will have a great trainer for the combine and the draft -- Will Shields. (Hat tip to Chiefs Coalition)

Not High On Clady

After watching him in the Hawaii Bowl, I was left a bit unimpressed. He left his feet A LOT to try to finish of his blocks, effectively taking himself out of the play. He seemed to move well before that, had good energy and was aggressive, but once he pulled the submarine he was done. It's great that Shields is working with him for the combine but, I don't believe his tendency to dive at peoples ankles will be addressed with that training. I'm pretty sure there isn't a measurable for @ss height at the combine either but that's all that's left of his blocking skills once he's on the ground.
