Arrowhead Stadium Rennovations Unveiled

From the official site:

"The New Arrowhead" will give fans a greater variety of experiences beyond the on-field action. Stadium improvements include concourses that will be nearly doubled in size, allowing fans to get to their seats – and back to the action on the field – in less time; more restrooms; a greater variety of food and beverages to enjoy; a broad range of bars, concessions and seating areas within the concourses; and club lounge spaces to enjoy with family and friends.

Other additions will feature an upgraded sound system, new video board displays - including a 360 degree ribbon board around the lower fascia of the stadium - a new press box, and a new group seating area - the Horizon Level.

Meh. I only care about "on-field" action and not about more ways to squeeze a dollar out of a Chiefs fan in the stadium. Comparison of the old and new stadium after the jump...

I, for one, am thrilled about the upgrade.  More restrooms for women, so we don't have to leave three minutes before the half is over to get in the line that might take the whole half.

More room on the concourse?  Count me as a big supporter on that one as well.  If you don't time your entry into Arrowhead perfectly, you could be stuck in that concourse when "Home of the Chiefs" rings out (have we had that conversation?)

Cheers.

You play to win the game!

I think
I don't really care because I haven't gotten to go too many Chiefs games recently so when I do, I'm just excited as hell to be there.

I'm in the same boat as Chris.
But I can completely understand the other side of the argument, if you go all the time.  The number of women who watch and attend games is rapidly increasing so of course we should do what we can to accommodate them.

Hmm
The way it looks is fine and the new bathrooms concessions will be great for those at the game but I think it's pretty amazing they can get $250 million in taxpayer money for a plan that will cut the capacity by 2,400 while increasing the number of suites by 20.

It's hardly a surprise but it just kind of sucks that the average fan gets pushed further and further away when this stuff happens.
