Kyle Turley Put on Injured Reserve

You can probably call this a career:

The Kansas City Chiefs placed tackle Kyle Turley on injured reserve and claimed tackle Adrian Jones on waivers from the New York Jets on Wednesday.

Turley played in seven games, starting five at right tackle for the Chiefs in 2007. He joined the club as a free agent in 2006 and played in 14 games overall with Kansas City. A first-round pick of the Saints in 1998, Turley has played in 109 games with New Orleans, St. Louis and Kansas City.

Jones played in seven games for the Jets in 2007. He was a fourth-round selection of the club in 2004 and has suited up in 44 games during his NFL career.

Kyle Turley's career is almost certainly over. Never more than an occasionally useable offensive lineman, Kyle Turley's best years were past him when he came to the Chiefs in 2006. I wish Kyle Turley success in his latest endeavor involving retired players.

You can watch Turley talking about providing better benefits for retired NFL players here.

Adrian Jones was added to the active roster and will more than likely see playing time in the last two games.

Yeah I guess he pretty much retired yesterday.  Said he has no feeling in his right foot.

Well
too bad he could not return to form he was a dominating force before he was hurt. I wish him well.

Are we...
...becoming the Jets Midwest???

I realize that there are "Herm's Guys", but don't we have a player personnel staff capable of researching people from all over the league???

You know it could just be coincidence
he might just be the best tackle available immediately, or he might just be someone who looks promising...over he could be blowing Herm...I'm just saying.

The simple answer is
that Herm has seen a lot more of these Jets guys than he has others. Going with whats familiar.
