That's quite a long list. I think that 13-10 prediction is pretty optimistic.

Titans win the toss
Return the ball 25 yards. And we're off...

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 12:04 PM CST reply actions

so
we're playing for a draft pick right?  at least thats what it looks like....

by The DBowe Show on Dec 16, 2007 12:09 PM CST reply actions

RE
B. Dazzle better have 350 yards passing today. That's the only way this stays interesting.

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 12:11 PM CST reply actions

Big drop by Bowe
He had a couple last week I think.

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 12:14 PM CST reply actions

he's
reminding me more of T.O. each day

by The DBowe Show on Dec 16, 2007 12:15 PM CST reply actions

I hope
the D can keep it up.  I'd hate to think of having to spend that 1st round pick on a DT

by Halfbreed5050 on Dec 16, 2007 12:23 PM CST reply actions

Well
the D is slowing them down but there's no way that continues without a rest between titan drives. . .

by LTownFan on Dec 16, 2007 12:32 PM CST reply actions

3rd and goal
We're 3/5 on third downs.

Touchdown Samie Parker! His best play ever?

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 12:43 PM CST reply actions

Is it just me
or does it seem like we've been putting together long drives in the first half recently?

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 12:45 PM CST reply actions

That was
very encouraging.  Bro-D to Sam-E

by LTownFan on Dec 16, 2007 12:46 PM CST reply actions

Tony and Brodie?
Is there something going on between Tony and Brodie? He seems to get far fewer throws compared to when Huard was in, always waving his arms, he sounds pissed. Is there some sort of power struggle going on between the two?

Oh we scored.

if they can get Kol-B moving!

Hey
we resemble a football team today! Good stop, D. Brodie's already on pace to eradicate last week from memory. Let's go Boom Dazzle!

At least
Croyle is giving people a reason to get off his back. The receivers seem to have shown up today, or at least a little. Still mad about Bowe's drop early though. That showed Croyle's excellent poise, as did that 3rd down on the same drive.

Bowe's drops. I hope its just rookie inconsistency.

The first one today
would have been for a huge gain. He'll learn.

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 1:15 PM CST up reply actions

Yep
I was only able to see the first two drives, and was severely disappointed with that drop. Croyle showed great poise on that play and the 3rd down play, but I was scratching my head on that 2nd down. Defense looked stout on the Titan's 2nd possession though. Im gonna try and get to a bar to watch the 2nd half.

Croyle to Kris Wilson. Was that his best play ever??

Hell of an effort from Wilson
He dragged a couple guys into the end zone.

by Chris Thorman on Dec 16, 2007 1:16 PM CST reply actions

Finally getting some help from the receivers. Im so mad Im out of market and cant watch the rest of this game. We're finally getting it done on offense.

I'm really thrilled
I know how I've been the head of the anti-Herm movement, but seriously, win or lose, even if we lose by twenty, they dumped Terry and this team came to play today. I'm genuinely impressed.

Chris, when was the last time a Chief's quarterback had 100 yards at the half this season? And 2 touchdowns?

Not criticising Herm Edwards for anything since December '07.

maybe
they found out that Chris Terry had a curse on him and these are the post-curse Chiefs?

by Halfbreed5050 on Dec 16, 2007 1:20 PM CST reply actions

look out
someone tell herm edwards he isn't an offensive coach...two td's is way over his point quota for an offense for a game, let alone a half.  i think if he could, he would take that last td back.  after all, we need to prove that this isn't the vermeil offense anymore and that we can't score when we want.  that's what good football is about...

this game is seriously all about
rebuilding. defense plsying solid, using the weapons we have as opposed to trying to force personnel into a scheme they don't succeed at. This is terrific.

I'm being dead serious when I say that even if we were behind, I'd be thrilled with today's performance.

But we're not, so let's get a win for these guys! They've earned it!

Not criticising Herm Edwards for anything since December '07.

by Ridiculous Matt on Dec 16, 2007 2:20 PM CST reply actions

Definitely DO NOT...
trade our 1st round + another pick for the Jets junk  tandem... I thought Herm didn't make decisions based on emotion. Coles i could see, but Pennington (just because Herm and him go way back) ... eh.. no way

by wildman040 on Dec 16, 2007 2:20 PM CST reply actions

a trade like that
would cripple the organization for probably the next 10 years.  if it happens, i will personally attend as many chiefs games as possible next year with a brown bag over my head.

by The DBowe Show on Dec 16, 2007 2:22 PM CST up reply actions

I hate Pennington as much as the next
guy and think he's a joke, but this is just related news.

He's leading the Jets down the field on a 7 minute drive against the Patriots, to the Pats 15.

I don't know whether him playing better would increase his trade value or decrease the chance of the Jets trading him...

by Ridiculous Matt on Dec 16, 2007 2:31 PM CST reply actions

Apparently not
We cut Terry today, but the front office has some completely unfounded belief in this piece of returning trash.

by DThomasReigns on Dec 16, 2007 2:34 PM CST up reply actions

looks like...
coaches are evaluating just about everyone on offense giving people the chance to touch the ball and make a play...

by wildman040 on Dec 16, 2007 2:39 PM CST reply actions

new
at least our red zone defense has been stout. penalties are killing us today...

by wildman040 on Dec 16, 2007 2:47 PM CST reply actions

don't look down...
we're spotting again...

by wildman040 on Dec 16, 2007 2:53 PM CST reply actions

This is AWESOME
The only hope we have in our losing streak is a good draft pick...and apparently we are now going to trade it for Pennington and Coles!!!!

Yeah, that combo worked out well for the Jets this year....

Oh, and I thought the "PLAN" was to draft and not trade picks because that is the how Vermeil supposedly "destroyed" this team.

by DThomasReigns on Dec 16, 2007 2:55 PM CST reply actions

LOL
Where did you hear this?  That's the most rediculous thing I've ever heard and goes completely opposite of what the Chiefs are trying to do now.

Pennington is a free agent next year anyway.  Why would they trade for someone they can just get in free agency?

Rumors started by disgruntled fans are hillarious.

by DJ @ Arrowhead Pride on Dec 16, 2007 3:24 PM CST up reply actions

Let's wait
I think that trade's pretty unlikely.

And there were a ton of positives to take from this game.

Not criticising Herm Edwards for anything since December '07.

by Ridiculous Matt on Dec 16, 2007 2:57 PM CST reply actions

i kind of agree
kind of strange a deal would be "in place" for a 1st round pick that is getting higher as each week passes.

by The DBowe Show on Dec 16, 2007 3:05 PM CST up reply actions

not to mention
the Jets have a 1st round pick right next to us... who would want to give a team that much of a draft advantage??? that's two immediate impact players! If that trade went through that would put us over the top to seriously doubt Carl Peterson's work.

by wildman040 on Dec 16, 2007 3:14 PM CST reply actions

there's
no way that trade goes through. I can honestly say, there is no way Herm or Peterson make that trade. They've been underwhelming, not completely brain dead.
Not criticising Herm Edwards for anything since December '07.

by Ridiculous Matt on Dec 16, 2007 3:18 PM CST reply actions

I agree with all of you
That is why I think such a trade is so idiotic, the sad part is I fear it might actually happen.

That should be an obvious no, but I have a lingering fear Herm and Co could push it through.

If something that ridiculous still gives me pause, then that in itself speaks to the confidence in the entire front office of the Chiefs.

by DThomasReigns on Dec 16, 2007 3:19 PM CST reply actions

Damn
Thats a shame.  Was really hoping to see them go 0-16.

by DJ @ Arrowhead Pride on Dec 16, 2007 3:25 PM CST up reply actions

Me too...
But the Fins got an assist from Billick - going for the tie, not the win at the close of regulation.
