Larry Johnson Likely to Sit This Weekend; Long-Term Status Unknown

Hat tip to Arrowhead Addict for the scoop.

Herm Edwards basically said that Larry Johnson is ruled out for this weekend's game against the Broncos.

"It will be difficult for him to play this week," Edwards said after getting preliminary results from a foot/ankle sprain Johnson sustained in last Sunday’s 33-22 loss to Green Bay. "He’s got a swollen foot … that’s not good."
The real question is -- What is the severity of the injury? The tubes are a flurry with rumors about the seriousness of Larry Johnson's foot injury, with some even speculating that the injury could be long-term. I'm not a doctor and I haven't examined Larry's foot so I won't give any credence to those rumors. All we know right now is that Larry is almost assuredly going to miss this weekend's game and that the Chiefs are waiting on further test results and second opinions to determine how severe of an injury it is.

Like I said yesterday, whether Larry Johnson plays or not is probably moot. LJ or no LJ, the Chiefs running game is broken.

I say Larry sits
against DEN and we win anyway (because if the Donkeys beat us with a back-up QB and two back-up WR's then I will off myself) and then sits against INDY and we lose (which we probably would have anyway).  Then LJ can come back for our string of three divisional games, because winning just 2 out those 3 is more important than beating Indy.

but
they said Cutler may start and that will make a huge difference. We need to let it all hang out this game because if we lose and then play Indy and lose we're pretty much out of it! I hope San Diego dosent unload on Indy, or we may really be in trouble, they do have the weapons.

No way Indy
loses two in a row...they are a better team than last year and Addai could have a field day against the San Diego "Look at that fast running back, which way did he go, which way did he go?" Chargers.  All you have to do to beat the Chargers (which we have always done at Arrowhead and just this year did at San Diego) is limit, not necessarily stop, LT and pressure Rivers.

San Diego
can beat any team with thier offensive weapons, but they should lose to Indy. Agree
