Second-year safety Jarrad Page has five career regular-season interceptions ... and four have come at the expense of the Raiders, including Sunday's pick that preserved the K.C. win.

Give Herm Edwards credit. He has turned this team around. They are actually a factor in the AFC West, sitting atop the standings.

Kansas City won their ninth straight game over the Raiders on Sunday, coming out of Oakland with a hard fought 12-10 victory. Strangely enough, eight of those nine wins have been by seven points or fewer. Larry Johnson ran the ball 24 times for 112 yards and a score while the defense held the Raiders to just 55 yards rushing on the day. In his fist game action since 2005, Priest Holmes ran the ball four times for 9 yards. Jarrad Page, who had a game-sealing interception in a game vs. the Raiders last season, sealed this one up with a pick in the final seconds, too. The Chiefs — now 4-3 and in first place in the AFC West — are cruising, having won 4 of their last 5.

The Kansas City Chiefs are slowly creeping towards the top ten of the national power rankings. Just over a month ago, there was talk within these same power rankings of the Chiefs being the worst team in the league. Everyone saw Hard Knocks, decided our team was horrible and wrote us off until they couldn't write us off anymore.

To prove the ridiculousness of these power rankings, the Chargers are ranked ninth, eighth and sixth respectfully. The Chargers are going to have a tough time beating out the Chiefs for the top spot in the west if they lose to us at Arrowhead on December 2nd.

A tough time?

How about a nearly impossible time? If we beat the Chargers at Arrowhead, then the best they could be in the West is 4-2. If we win just one other divisional game (DEN or OAK at home or at DEN) then our record would also be 4-2 but we beat the Chargers twice...doesn't that eliminate them? I can never keep all the tie breaker crap straight...

Yeah if we tie then we will eliminate them because we should be at least 4-2 divisional and theres a good chance we'll be 5-1. Lets just hope Den and SD dont start winning a bunch of games. We should beat the packers since they have never won a game at arrowhead, but it all depends on the preasure we get on Brett Farve. I dont think they will be able to stop our running game and our defence is the best its been in a decade so 5-3 should be our mark going up against Denver.

we'll split with Denver, beat Oakland again, and if SD is back on track by the time we see them again (they probably will be), then we could lose that as well. 4-2 seems pretty good about now...

True

but we dont loose home games in december so 5-1 sounds reasonable. I think that our play will elevate even more during the cold months so we probably will end up 10-6 or mabye 11-5. The only game that i dont have us winning is Indy, some of the others will be close. If Tamba elevates his play our defensive line will dominate every game.

That would mean we would finish out the season 7-2. If that happened, we would be probably the hottest team in the league. Unlikely, in my opinion.

So with the Jaguars out

and if we do end up going 4-2 division and at 10-6, 11-1 (I'm taking a break from hatin' to sip the kool-aid), then who do we play first round?

No way we get a bye, that's New England and Indy.

We MIGHT be able to beat out Steelers/Ravens for the 3 seed. Who gets the wild card? I want to start estimating our chances of winning a playoff game now.

But Football Outsiders says the Chiefs currently have about a 40% chance of making the playoffs.

Wild cards_

we can win the division and forget the wild card for once. The wild cards will probably go to two of the following teams.(Tenn,JAX,Bal,SD.) Theres a good chance we could play Jacksonville in KC, and they matchup well against us. I think we will make the playoffs and win at least one playoff game this post-season. LIKE HERM SAYS "you got to let em play"
