Defense - Defense - Defense !
This is going to be a monstrous day for the defense. Rudi will be held to 65 yards on the ground. Ocho and Houch will both reach the end zone in the first half, but lack of a running game will force Palmer to get a little to ballsy resulting in three turnovers, one of which will be returned for a touchdown. L.J. finally gets it going in a big way, racking up 155 rushing 65 receiving and two TD's.  Huard will be Huard, causing an outcry  for Croyle, but through good Defense and the emergence of L.J. he will get the win and another start next week.
Final score:
 GOOD GUYS - 31
 BAD GUYS - 20   0

by mooseface79 on Oct 14, 2007 10:03 AM CDT   0 recs

i hate to piggy-back
but moose here basically said everything i think will happen on the defensive side.  we have to keep in mind that there's only so much offense to spread around, and d-bowe is going to make some catches, so  i say LJ w/ 125 yds and 1 td, TG and Bowe both have TDs, final score Chefs 31, Bungles 23.

by thehulk on Oct 14, 2007 11:32 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

34-19 good guys!
Huard- 22-34 280 yds 2TD
LJ- 30 rushes for 138 yds 2TD

Jared, Tamba, and DJ get atleast one sack each

Donnie gets a pick

Rayner 2-2 FG with a 50 yarder.

by stevedebergHOF on Oct 14, 2007 10:14 AM CDT   0 recs

TONY
With 3 backup linebackers, the Bengals have trouble all day stopping Gonzalez, especially on 3rd down.  He'll get 10 catches for 120 yards and a TD.  Bowe will also have a big day against their rookie, but LJ will be the last nail in the coffin.  We'll have a lead at halftime and he will bury them in the last 30 minutes.  32 carries for 145 yards and 2 TDs.  Final Bengals 20, Chiefs 31.

by PVChiefsfan on Oct 14, 2007 11:22 AM CDT   0 recs

chiefs 24 bengals 20
this will tell us a lot about how good this team is.

if we lose this game, to a team like the bengals at home, then we arent going anywhere this season.

if we win this game, we have a chance in the afc west...

im putting it all on this game.

by rockchalk on Oct 14, 2007 12:02 PM CDT   0 recs

Right on
with your assessment of the importance of this game. On paper, we match up really well.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:17 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Just got in
First first quarter points of the season baby!!

Tailgateandwin
Propose a trade to me (seeyainthefinals), I want Romo

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:18 PM CDT   0 recs

I'm confused
We don't actually have to start the game behind 10-0?  This might really help us today!

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:18 PM CDT   0 recs

Haha
Yes, indeed.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:19 PM CDT   0 recs

Well
That was too easy.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:19 PM CDT   0 recs

Fuck
Spoke too soon. TD for the Bengals. Thats exactly what I was afraid of! Exactly!!!!

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:19 PM CDT   0 recs

Watson's got some holes
He went to school with LJ at PSU

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:20 PM CDT   0 recs

Umm, that can't happen anymore
We can NOT get behind 2 scores in this game, their offense is too good.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:20 PM CDT   0 recs

To quote myself
on a question of what scares me about the Bengals-

"Quite frankly, a big pass play for a touchdown. I see Carson Palmer, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh and think big play. When you're a fan of one of the lowest scoring teams in the National Football League, having any lead is great but having that lead dashed by a 75 yard touchdown pass is absolutely crushing."

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:21 PM CDT   0 recs

Joey Porter/Levi Jones Vegas fight
Just heard that FOX has obtained video of it.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:22 PM CDT   0 recs

ughhh
D sucks, corners are a joke, safeties prove their inexperience.
Huard is pathetic with the talent they have recieving.
Mcintosh is a slug and the other side is no better, this is a joke, not sure I wanna waste another sunday watching this shit again

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:23 PM CDT   0 recs

Don't jump ship just yet
We still have a whole game left!

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:23 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I know, but it just sux
the have the game starting the same old same old....that first drive was cause of penalties, otherwise it'd a been punted form our 40

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:25 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Give it at least a quarter
We're still right in the AFC West race, more than a 1/4 of the way through the season.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:24 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

and thats pathetic....
I don't care about division, if we can't beat a mediocre team, it'll just be losing to Indy in the first post season anyway

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:26 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Offensive line?
Where are you??

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:25 PM CDT   0 recs

Holy crap
Please block somebody.  Good grief.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:25 PM CDT   0 recs

3rd and long
Seen this too much.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:26 PM CDT   0 recs

Jeff Webb
Amazing sideline catch.

McIntosh got schooled again on that play.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:27 PM CDT   0 recs

Good punt at least
reversed the field position.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:28 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I'm just saying
We'll have good drives and bad drives. Lets not doom the team just yet.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:28 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Rudi's back
We can't let a hurt Rudi or a back up beat us!  Carson is enough to deal with

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:31 PM CDT   0 recs

Two Chiefs players
overran that Bengal TD. Brackenridge showed his youth on that one.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:31 PM CDT   0 recs

3rd down STOP!
BOOM! Sack!

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:32 PM CDT   0 recs

Jared got him first
and Tamba drilled him.

That was awesome!

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:32 PM CDT   0 recs

A three and out...
...and everyone feels a little better.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:33 PM CDT   0 recs

Hester
another TD.  That guy is crazy, we're not the only victims.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:33 PM CDT   0 recs

So far
This is LJ's best looking game.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:33 PM CDT   0 recs

Yes!
LJ HUGE run! He wants it bad!

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:34 PM CDT   0 recs

He's got that swagger back
First LJ TD here we come!!!!!!

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:36 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Red zone
Lets get a TD.

Tony to the one yard line!

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:36 PM CDT   0 recs

Robert Geathers
I wish bad things upon him

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:36 PM CDT   0 recs

LJ tackled
from the backside. He'll get in.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:37 PM CDT   0 recs

By the numbers
The Chiefs run the most and the best up the middle.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:38 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Record breaker
Tony Gonzalez now owns the NFL tight end touchdown record.

Congrats Tony.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:37 PM CDT   0 recs

NFL RECORD
#88 is the best ever.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:38 PM CDT   0 recs

Good for YOU!!
But Tony G must be in another league b/c I own him in the AP league!!

Go Tony G.
Go Chiefs.

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:43 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Damn
Jared is a beast.  Absolute beast.

Maybe the most underrated defensive player in the game right now?

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:41 PM CDT   0 recs

Fracas
Sapp is pissed.
You play to win the game!

by tailgateandwin on Oct 14, 2007 12:42 PM CDT   0 recs

Benny Sapp
Chill out.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:43 PM CDT   0 recs

No doubt
I like the fire but you gotta keep your head.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:44 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Game Killer
2 Defensive Penalties.
You play to win the game!

by tailgateandwin on Oct 14, 2007 12:43 PM CDT   0 recs

First quarter
If there was a team to score our first 1Q points against, it was the Bengals. So far, I think you have to say that things are going as planned.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:44 PM CDT   0 recs

Sapp should be benched....
just on principle

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:45 PM CDT   0 recs

RE
I can't stand guys who can't control their emotions.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:46 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Agreed.
He just back from injury.
You play to win the game!

by tailgateandwin on Oct 14, 2007 12:46 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Sack! Fumble!
This defense will EAT TEAMS UP!

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:48 PM CDT   0 recs

JARED ALLEN!
He's destroying that guy!

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:48 PM CDT   0 recs

allens a monster

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:48 PM CDT   0 recs

OH MY GOD
Don't even know what to say.

They said 2nd sack, isn't that his third?

This is what we need to happen to win this game.  TURNOVERS TURNOVERS TURNOVERS!!!!

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:48 PM CDT   0 recs

2.5
Earlier they had he and Hali splitting the first sack.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:50 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I think allen switched....
From booze to speed   hehe

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:49 PM CDT   0 recs

Parker drop
You can know exhale. Incomplete.

3rd down again for the Bengals.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:50 PM CDT   0 recs

No catch
He only had 1 foot down, right?

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:50 PM CDT   0 recs

Thats what I thought
Challenge that shit.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:51 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

WTF??
They called it a fumble??

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:50 PM CDT   0 recs

New ref
On the radio they said this is the ref's first game as the head official.  He's seemed a little shaky so far.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:51 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Bad call
He has to catch the ball, with both feet down and make a "football move".  This is coming back.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:53 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Stuck without coverage
Appreciate the updates, guys. God to see Jared Allen is killing them.

How's Huard look?

by Ridiculous Matt on Oct 14, 2007 12:50 PM CDT   0 recs

Not bad
He's playing like Huard so far.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:51 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Huard looks good
TD pass to TG, moving the ball okay.  LJ is looking better, not quite at that level yet though

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:51 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

he is still waiting to get sacked
my #1 problem with huard is when there is pressure, he just lowers his head and lets them sack him.

just get rid of the ball!!!

by rockchalk on Oct 14, 2007 12:54 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I heard for the first time from someone here
That Samie Parker was a track star.  Had no idea, certainly can't tell.

by primetime 07 on Oct 14, 2007 12:50 PM CDT   0 recs

Two sports athlete
Track and football at Oregon.

No way this Parker fumble stays.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:52 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

benny sapp shouldnt play again this game...
jared allen is an absolute beast, it will cost a pretty penny to resign him this offseason, but we better... (carl, im looking at you.)

there is no way that samie parker had possession of that ball, it should be overturned.

at least it better be...

by rockchalk on Oct 14, 2007 12:52 PM CDT   0 recs

if allen is let go....
I will personally travel to KC and bitch slap Carl.....taking donations for the airfare

by custerflux on Oct 14, 2007 12:54 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

My fantasy team is blowing up BTW
McNabb, Berrian and TG all have touchdowns.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:54 PM CDT   0 recs

Doh
I benched Berrian in favor of D Bowe today.  He's going to have to get one or two of his own.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:55 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Good call
But I hate it when officials make teams use a challenge for what should be an obvious call.

by Pauli on Oct 14, 2007 12:54 PM CDT   0 recs

Challenge overturned
That was an easy one...

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:54 PM CDT   0 recs

Big pass to Jeff Webb
He's showing up to play today. On 3rd and 15 no less.

by Chris on Oct 14, 2007 12:56 PM CDT   0 recs

Cherish that Webb
probably won't happen too often.
