Reviewing AP's Predictions For The Chiefs 2011 Season
From the FanPosts. Awesome compilation of our awful predictions. -Joel
We all say them. Things like, "Mark my words," or "I 100% guarantee," or, "and you can quote me on that!" But how often does anybody ever actually mark our words, or actually quote us on that? Last summer I decided that, going into the season, it would be fun to do just that.
So, from the end of the lockout into the beginning of the regular season, I jotted down some of the bolder predictions I saw APers make and saved them to a file on my hard drive. I figured it would be fun to look back at them after the season was over and see whose predictions were awful, whose were spot-on, and whose still needed more time before we could judge them. But since I'm a horrible procrastinator, I'm doing it halfway through February instead of at the beginning of January like I had initially planned. Please don't judge me.
So, without further adieu, your predictions for the Kansas City Chiefs 2011-2012 season.

Highlights Of The Kansas City Chiefs 2012 Coaching Staff
"We were able to add a handful of strong additions to an already talented group of coaches, and I am excited to get started," said Crennel. "I am looking forward to sitting down as a staff, evaluating what we have, what we need, and moving forward towards the 2012 season."
Chiefs Free Agency Preview: Outside Linebacker Won't See Much Action
Chiefs have tons of cap room, will likely sign at least one RB. BenJarvus Green-Ellis logical fit. History with Pioli. Battle & Jones FAs.
Green-Ellis knows Daboll's system. One of NFL's top short-yardage/goal-line backs. Could be power complement to Jamaal Charles (ACL).
Fear not: Jim Bob Cooter is employed
The great Spencer Hall with a quick take on the Jim Bob Cooter hire.
So, Which One Of You Ordered KC Wolf For Valentine's Day?
The Chiefs website advertises a KC Wolf appearance for Valentine's Day and though I've never seen it go down I can only imagine seven foot KC Wolf walking into an office giving flowers and chocolates to some lucky lady/man/wolf. Perhaps he brings in the four-wheeler with flames shooting out of the back. Maybe he runs over a guy in the office dressed in Raiders colors. I don't know.
So we gotta know: Did anyone order KC Wolf to surprise your significant other this year? Have you ever ordered it?
If you did then, yeah, we're gonna need to see some pictures.
As for my Valentine's Day....Ms. Primetime received a box of chocolates this morning that had on it a picture of two dogs who looked just like our two dogs, Callie and Sheldon. Chocolates + puppies = success. Easy enough formula. She's also getting dinner cooked for her tonight. I'd be worried about her reading this and blowing the surprise if she, you know, actually read Arrowhead Pride.
Chiefs Announce Coaching Staff For 2012 Season
Romeo Crennel and the Kansas City Chiefs have announced their coaching staff for the 2012 season and included in it are five new coaches. A few of them we knew about, and a few others we didn't.
Previously reported: Brian Daboll is the new offensive coordinator from the Miami Dolphins. The Chiefs also previously announced the hire of Tom McMahon as special teams coach. They also confirmed a previous report that Jack Bicknell Jr. has been hired away from the New York Giants as offensive line coach.
The new guys: Jim Bob Cooter, who will be the offensive quality control coach. He's also up for the best name on the team. In fact, I think he wins that one in a landslide. He was previously with the Indianapolis Colts and played at the University of Tennessee (the alma mater of Mrs. Arrowhead Pride). Derius Swinton has been hired as the special teams quality control coach. He was previously with McMahon in St. Louis.
Other notables include Nick Sirianni staying on as the new receivers coach. Crennel previously indicated he had a "direction" he wanted to go with that. Also staying on board is Jim Zorn, the team's quarterbacks coach.
We will have a full break down coming of all the coaching moves this offseason -- the guys retained, the guys brought in, who the other candidates were, etc.
