I remember one game where the offense was backed up near the goaline, Thomas signaled safety to the fans. The next play he sacked the quarterback in the end-zone for a safety. He was just a stud."

"I knew that was happening. Right after the season started, I had a conversation with coach (Herm) Edwards. It’s something I initiated. They’re having a rebuilding process. We were in two-year plan to see if we could win a championship. It just didn’t happen . . . so it was the best for us to go our separate ways. No hard feelings or anything."

Yikes! 2006 and 2007 were supposed to produce a championship? Shame on Ty Law for believing that BS.

I'm actually coming around to the new, awkwardly direct Priest Holmes. This quote is right out of Playmakers.

Update: After I read the above quote, I actually stopped reading the Q&A with Priest to come right here and do this post. I'm glad I went back and finished it though. He hit us with another gem later in the press conference:

Q: Do you think that this blocking unit can work as well with you as the last one did?

HOLMES: "I’d have to say this and they only way that I can answer this question is this: much like any situation I’ve been in, I make people look good. I really do.

S Bernard Pollard is a character. Here's Bernard on the Chiefs front four:

"Our front four played really well. Jared had three or four sacks and Ron had one. I think we had one or two more. I thought our cornerbacks played an excellent game today. Our linebackers played really well and we stopped them. I don't know how many yards rushing they had but all I want to say is that I'm going to cut my hair, I'm going to shave my face and I'm going out with D-Bowe."

D-Bowe is a popular guy I'm guessing.
