Whats really wrong with our Chiefs?
Very simple, we haven't had a quarterback in three years. You will see a really different team with Cassell back there because the defense will have to respect the pass. Do you really think defenses really prepare for Croyle or Thiggy. They stop LJ and the game is over. That's why you seel 15 carries for 20 yds. Chief fans, please you need to understand this, Croyle is a loser, and I'm willing to bet HE NEVER WINS AN NFL GAME. If Croyle plays this week against the Raiders WE WILL LOSE, simply because of Croyle. I don't want to hear the whole offensive line, etc... crap. It's simple, the most important position in football is the QB, he touches the ball the most. Ours is a loser. I guarantee you that Croyle can throw a football through a tire from 40 yds away, but if there is pressure in a game he sucks. Did you see his two minute drill.Lol He was so nervous he couldn't hike the ball. He can't play qb in the nfl.
Now it is Cassell time, new era, watch how good we run the ball now, because if you put eight in the box, a good qb will burn you. Oh, he had moss and welker, blablabla, Cassell will prove to you he is the man. There is two stats that show how well a qb is: Wins and third down, Cassell is great on third down, simply put. You know why we were 25% percent on third down in preseason, because thats all Cassell played, the other 75% was the other loser qb on our roster. Croyle and thiggy are seriously like 10% on third down. They are not even good enough to play college. You will see a different chiefs team with Cassell in.
P.S. Cassell plays in Baltimore, we win Barnone.

Does Larry Johnson still have it?
Alright, I created this post cause i have seen loads of doubts and uncertainty directed towards Larry Johnson in the last few weeks. Not pointing the finger at our fans in specific, but all NFL fans.
For one, many believe that he is too old and that he is about to hit that wall that 30 year old backs tend to hit (He is turning 30 in November). However, he is still rather fresh compared to most others. He sat third on the depth chart for a few years under Vermeil and was never really the featured back until his third year. Also, he has only went over 200 carries in a year TWICE. In my mind, the word 30 means nothing, Tomlinson is 30 and he has accumulated about 2700 carries in his career. Larry has carried the ball a total of about 1250 times in his career (so 46% percent of Tomlinson's carries).
I remember two years ago when all the espn anchors sat there and watched some Larry clips and just marveled at the tenacity he ran with, the combination of power and speed. I watched Larry play at Penn State, i was even at the game where he rushed for 279 yards in the first half against Michigan State. He ripped up college opponents like it was nothing. He finished 3rd in the Heisman voting and might have won if Penn State built the hype (Coach Paterno doesn't believe in boosting a Players Heisman chances, he cares about the team, not individuality.
Larry still owns a 4.5 ypc average over the course of his career. That's more than Tomlinson and many others. Also, as us chiefs fans know, he has the ability to bash and move through defenders. I love watching the clip of Larry just tossing Quentin Jammer. He has huge cutback ability and knows how to work the field. He started this season only 432 yards from being the Chiefs all time leading rusher.
I don't mean to stray a little, but in the last few years we have done little to help keep up rushing game intact. The retirement of Roaf and Shields, along with the departure of Wiegmann, Dunn, and Richardson have crippled our run blocking. We have lost two probowl lineman, your starting center, and a great blocking FB and TE. In my opinion, the chiefs need to spend some money/draft picks to rebuild the run game (as i'm sure everyone else thinks).
Anyway, I don't know about the rest of you chiefs fans, but I'm tired of hearing the negativity towards Larry. I think he still has it in the tank. If our o-line opens a few holes I think he can wreak havoc on opposing defenses. So I can't wait for people to realize that Larry is still Larry. Starting this weekend with the Raiders.
P.S. This is my first Fanpost here at AP. So if i did anything wrong feel free to let me know. I'm a diehard chiefs fan and I'm happy to have joined the best sports community out there. Thanks to all :)
Make sure you guys leave comments! I want to hear opinions
Win, Win, Win
Our Chiefs need to get of to a good start to win on Sunday. First of all we need an old Wolfpack type crowd. Then Haley and company need to come up with a way to get up by two scores. So the game plan has to be to get LJ, Bowe, and Succop, yes the kicker involve early and often. A two score lead take the Raider running game away and makes Russell the center of attention DL. We score early and we win in a blowout. No feeling out to start. We know who they are so let's go right at them. That is how "We play to win the game".
Arrowheadlines: Chiefs News 9/18
In these tough times for the franchise, even the running game has disappeared from the Chiefs.
In the 2008 season finale against Cincinnati, they gained 31 rushing yards.
In the 2009 season opener against Baltimore, they had 29 rushing yards.
Sixty yards in the last two games. Ouch. Double ouch when Larry Johnson’s numbers are totaled: 21 carries for 38 yards. Triple ouch for Jamaal Charles: seven carries for 17 yards.

Larry Johnson Against Raiders...
I looked up his stats just against the Raiders and I found some interesting numbers.
2004 Season
20 Rushing Attempts - 118 Yards - 1 TD
25 Rushing Attempts -79 Yards - 2 TD's
2005 Season
9 Rushing Attempts - 41 Yards - 1 TD
22 Rushing Attempts -107 Yards - 2 TD's
2006 Season
31 Rushing Attempts- 154 Yards - 2 TD's
31 Rushing Attempts - 135 Yards - 2 TD's
2007 Season
24 Rushing Attempts- 112 Yards - 1 TD
2008 Season
12 Rushing Attempts- 22 Yards - 0 TD's
24 Rushing Attempts- 92 Yards - 1 TD
In all the games against the Raiders combined here are his numbers:
198 Rushing Attempts - 860 yards - 4.34 Yards Per Carry - 12tds
Those seem like great stats to me. The only game we didn't win is the time he only got 22 yards and zero TD's. So with that we should give the ball to LJ and let him run it down their throats. We also have to block better for him and make some deep passing plays to open up the run. I do believe LJ still has some left in his tank. Let's hope he proves it this week against a team he can obviously run well against.
Edit: Just seen Joel looked up his stats before me. Didn't know that or wouldn't have made this post. Oh, well it is a little different than his with my opinions. Sorry Joel!
All things Considered?
So far this week, a lot of things have been considered. Monday and Tuesday the Chiefs / Ravens game was the talk of AP. Then things slowly started shifting towards our next opponent the Raiders Wednesday , and today Thursday everyone focused on that up coming game. I of course along with many others here have been reading up on the analysis of the so called experts and the other guys here on AP. I've read about probably every single little thing that is wrong with the Chiefs and everything that is good with them concerning the up coming game. There has even been some analysis of the Raiders on here, but not quite as in depth. Maybe it is just that a lot has been said about them but in small fragments through out the posts. I know that there was a thread with a Raiders fan and a lot of people commented or asked questions concerning them to him and he answered them.

Chiefs Prediction: Schedule
Here are my Chiefs predictions for this year. I'll either put Win or lose next to the team we play. I'll even write a little comment besides each game.
Chiefs:
- Ravens: Loss. Obviously a loss but a very close loss. We shown a lot of heart and played hard. Come back Cassel!
- Raiders: Win. They got a little better just not good enough yet in the season to cap a win.
- Eagles: Win. Weird QB situation that won't be fixed in time for this game. Will be close.
- Giants: Loss. I'm afraid of their defense but then again we didn't do too bad against the Ravens. Another close game.
- Cowboys: Win. Will be an offensive game. Their defense isn't that great. Our defense will still need some work by that point.
- Redskins: Win. They are just a mess right now. It might get better by then but I doubt it. We are the better Indians.
- Chargers: Win. If they played as bad as they did against the Raiders we will win. Plus we are at home.
- Jaguars: Win. They don't have enough offensive weapons to beat us. Will be pretty close game.
- Raiders: Win. We are at their house this time and they might get even better. We stop the run, we win.
- Steelers: Loss. If we put up a fight like we did against the Ravens anything is possible. They are just too strong of a team.
- Chargers: Loss. We usually split with the Chargers especially when we play in San Diego. Will be a good game to watch.
- Broncos: Win. They might get their stuff together by week 12 but I still they are a mess of a team.
- Bills: Loss. This could go either way. If they make too many mistakes we win. If they play sound, they win.
- Browns: Win. Hopefully, we pull of this win but the browns surprised us before.
- Bengals: Win. They disappointed me against the Broncs. They got screwed out of a win but still played like crap. Carson won't have another good year in the NFL.
- Broncos: Win. They will still be a mess and not even inspired to beat a division rival.
So by these predictions we'll go 11-5. Easily in the playoffs. Is that too hopeful? I don't think so. Each week we have a chance to win. We made a lot of improvements while it seems are division has just been a mess. Even if I'm wrong about 2-4 games that could be enough to still go to the playoffs in this division that is crumbling beneath us. Anyways, just a prediction. Having fun on the best blog/forum site in the nfl.
Chiefs 3-3 after week 6
Haley hates the raiders as well all chiefs fans know now. Though were 0-1 going into this week the raiders no one never knows what there gonna bring to the table. I see with Haley pe-od we lost last week maken sure he does not loose at home.
So im seeing a 1 and 1 record there. Haley spent 3 years with the cowboys. He knows the NFC East pretty well. Not much has changed head coach wise nor staff i do believe. He knows most of the def packages and i could almost see us picking a win if not from either the giants or philly. Then from the cowboys and redskins. The cowboys are a mess. Though they still have a ok def at best and a iffy qb vs teams that arnt aspose to beat them they normaly loose. Plus we will be in are texans jerseys another reason the teams is gonna be really hyped to play.
The Redskins me living near them...........wat a joke. This team is a big ass mess. (im not just saying this either because i will be at the game row 1 in between 45-50 on the chiefs side w00t). Im saying this because i was there when the rams beat them last year. And when the steelers beat them last year. Though they finaly figured out how to put randel and cooley in the slot which showed that cambell finaly figured out where the slot is vs the giants is help its not going to be enough i don't believe. There def misses way to many tackles. If you throw rogers way he drops the ball all day. Hall is over rated which we no since he came from the raiders. Haynesworth will proble be on the ir proble after the end of this week.(lol) It may seem that im rough on the redskins im not just i hear about them every damn day living in wv and working in va.
Tebow draft next year?
No, not the Chiefs drafting Tebow; that would be insane.
On Yahoo, they have an article about the Jacksonville Jags drafting Tebow in an attempt to resurrect their franchise. The Jags financial situation/fanbase has gone from bad to worse; unable to sell out any home games they are slowly circling the drain and may have to move.
As shown in the article the Jags owner has basically come out and said that they are already planning on moving up in the draft to get him. Reportedly there are already Draft Tebow bumper stickers coming out in the Jacksonville area. This may be a dream come true for Pioli.
I'm as glass half full as the next guy, but I reallistically see the Chiefs only winning 6 games this year; and if we get bit hard with injuries it could be worse on our extremely depth deprived roster. Unfortunately, 4-12 is a realistic possibility.
If the Chiefs do underperform this year and are stuck in the top 6 of the NFL draft, then this would be a golden opportunity for this kind of a blockbuster trade. This just seems like a (future) win-win for our beloved Chiefs as the team grows and develops under Pioli & Haley's watch.
Sorry for the topic that is just so out of left field, but I found it very interesting how much pure economics has begun to effect the sports world.
