My Preseason Posterized series continues. This week... KENDRICK LEWIS! Who would have thought that he'd be the first rookie safety to have an interception this season?! Originally I was going to do either the DJ hit or Studabaker's sack, but AP member maxdw21 guided me in this direction. I must admit, I'm liking it. It was definitely the most graceful play of the day, and certainly fits within my Posterized criteria. Wallpapered!
I don't mean to clog up Arrowhead Pride with this stuff, but I'm a week behind! To be honest, I don't even remember what the play was. I remember it got blown up by Kansas City Chiefs' OLB Tamba Hali, though. I also know that Hali showed even the tiniest glimpse of defensive swagger and is therefore awarded with my second Posterized: Preseason Mode image. I'm still trying to figure out the right look and feel for these. Let me know what you think. Wallpapered as always
I'm trying to build up the momentum to do a series during the regular season. Posterized is the name I'm giving it for now, unless something better comes along. I'll be looking at some of the more "artistic" or "image-worthy" moments that occur in the Chiefs games. I'm going to start here: Javier Arenas completely dominated the Falcons' kicker. That left the biggest impression on me. This first image certainly isn't meant to predict anything (although 243 yards on four returns is really good), but Javier was able to win the rights to be in my first "Posterized" image. Enjoy. If all goes according to plan, this will be a weekly series, with a wildcard image for the bye week. Posterized: Chiefs' Javier Arenas Wallpaper
I have to admit, I never really subscribed to the whole "Don Pioli" nickname... but after being exposed to it over and over, and especially after seeing the efficiency by which he runs this organization, I couldn't help myself. I had to do a caricature. I know the front office is an odd thing to do a celebratory wallpaper for, but I think, like me, there are a lot of people around here that are becoming more and more impressed with the way this team is being built. I know it hasn't necessarily translated to the field yet, but the entire organization is just bleeding confidence. It looks good on 'em. As before, Wallpapers! Also, at the link above you'll be able to see a higher resolution version of this. the AP software tends to crunch them down a little bit, causing them to lose some of their detail
~ Glenn Dorsey after single handedly reclaiming the AFC West from Philip Rivers. (sorry, i couldn't help myself) Everyone can dream, right? Afterall, isn't this what we were expecting when we first drafted him? Ironically, this is sort of the finished version of a sketch that I did of Dorsey way back when we drafted him. I suppose if there is any interest I can post the original scan. Until then... Wallpapers!
I spent a bit more time on this painting. I think it's closer to "finished." (if there is such a thing) As I've done before, this is Wallpapered Here Enjoy - I think this is my favorite yet. Hard to believe this little guy has more hype surrounding him than Eric Berry. Whodathunkit.
Monday Night Football. Wow. We sure are starting the season with a boom. Is it too early to start counting the time? Maybe if you guys stare at this long enough you'll be half as excited as i am ~wink Once again, free wallpapers for everyone!
I just wanted to share my latest painting with you guys. I decided to take a break from the portrait-esque approach I took on the Tamba, D-Thomas, Eric Berry, and Jamaal images, and take a look at a moment from the only Chiefs dynasty we can claim. once again, you guys can get desktop backgrounds (in various sizes) HERE Enjoy! This has always been one of my favorite images. It's so iconic.
Hey guys, just as i did with the jamaal and tamba paintings, i saved my latest Derrick Thomas painting as a bunch of wallpapers in different sizes for those who are interested. you can find them here enjoy :)
