I think this may be one of my favorite paintings to date. It was a lot of fun to create. Another big day like this and I may become a believer :D Wallpapers :)
I was livid when I saw the play that preceeded this "argument." I've calmed down since, but it really had me going at the time. Last Sunday, I thought this call lost the game for us. I've backed off that stance since then, because there were a number of mistakes made by my beloved Kansas City Chiefs that were ultimately responsible for this loss. This stung, however, nonetheless. I couldn't believe the call by that ref. Whether offensive pass interference should have been called on Andre Johnson or not, calling PI on Flowers was just downright absurd. The Elusive Peyton Manning Interception ~by Tamba Hali and Jon McGraw I was torn on what exactly to put into this one. I knew that Hali was a given. That shot of him all bloody after harassing Peyton all day long was just priceless. So I started working on a closeup of him that I was going to make very dramatic. I didn't like that idea the closer that I got to completing it. Right when I had most of the painting done, I decided to pull back and do an action shot like I had been doing all these weeks. It just seemed right. These guys are making me work. This was very much a team play. Hat tip to Romeo Crennel. Don't forget your wallpapers
Everyone can thank AP user Holmeslice for this Derrick Thomas image, along with anyone who rec'd up his post in order to completely break apart my previous concept for the bye week painting. Thanks alot Holmeslice :P I was originally going to do something other than a painting for this week to spice it up a little, but it became very clear after a few emails that this was the way to go. I had a lot of fun with this one. It had to be John (as my Dad used to call him, "Ole' Horse Lips") Elway, didn't it? Wallpapers, to break your Chiefs (3-0) fever. And just because I've gotten a lot of questions / emails about this recently: This is a painting done by me from scratch, using a variety of reference images, by hand with a Wacom tablet, in Photoshop :)
Ok everyone here is my poll for this upcoming week's Posterized image. I'm throwing a change-up and this week's image will feature a hall of famer (of your choice) from the Chiefs' only Super Bowl team. This week's image will not be painted as the previous image, but the medium will not be revealed until next week, in an attempt to corral all the excitement as possible > :D The poll closes sunday night so get your votes in before then!
Well... This wasn't a hard decision. I keep looking for reasons to put up a poll, but uh... Mr. Moeaki made this one pretty easy one me. Wallpapers ~ Enjoy :)
This week's Posterized Image starring Brandon Flowers! That pick was a thing of beauty! I was hoping to put this thing to a vote, but I think we can all agree that there wasn't much else to Posterize in this game. But this is still a pretty awesome moment. 2-0! Go Chiefs! Painted Walpapers for all!
Posterized : Week One featuring Dexter McCluster I had fun with this one. It was awesome that he gave me something to work with. a 94 yard record?!? Wow. This guy is something special... Wallpapers for the week!
What an awesome ending!!!! I'm totally stoked, like most of you are, to be the undisputed leaders of the AFC West. Enjoy it, everyone. I'm trying something out. I've been getting a lot of suggestions for Posterized images, so I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to vote on it. I'll be ending the poll at the link here at noon on wednesday, if anyone wants a say on what will go beneath their Arrowhead Pride desktop shortcut this week.
I couldn't be happier to see Jackie claim MVP status over the Chiefs' preseason. I also couldn't be happier with how this series is starting to come along. I'm anxious to begin the real images and get done with this preseason nonsense. I wonder who will get Posterized on September Thirteenth... Wallpapered!
