The Kansas City Chiefs are meeting with all the top quarterbacks. North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky said he has met (informally) with the Chiefs. Clemson’s Deshaun Watson will meet with most teams at the Combine, including the Chiefs, and Texas Tech’s Patrick Mahomes said he too will meet with Kansas City. Add in Miami’s Brad Kaaya to that list and Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer, who says he is an Eagles and Donovan McNabb fan.
What do we have here? The Chiefs have met with or will meet with pretty much all the top quarterbacks. There are other quarterbacks in the draft so the Chiefs could be meeting with more. Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes and Kizer represent the top four quarterbacks. The Chiefs have met with quarterbacks in years past but this year it seems like there’s momentum to take on relatively high. Those top four quarterbacks are all probably first round picks.
Each team gets 60 formal interviews and often the Chiefs draft picks come from that list if they’re at the Combine. The Chiefs don’t release that list publicly, this information comes via Combine interviews.
