The Chicago Bears are usually the ones who sign all their draft picks first. However this year it's our old pal Scott Pioli and the Atlanta Falcons who announced on Thursday that they have signed their draft class of six players. They were also the first to sign a first round pick with safety Keanu Neal on Wednesday.
So now that one team has shown they can get the picks signed this early, when will the Chiefs be done signing their class? They got the ball rolling with second round pick Chris Jones signing a four-year contract worth over $6 million.
That means there are eight more picks to sign and I would guess that those eight picks sign quickly because the players are coming into town for rookie minicamp this weekend. They can get waivers to participate in minicamp even without a contract but considering there's little negotiating to do, the Chiefs probably just need the players physically in KC to sign their contracts. That will happen this weekend.
What's the over / under on Chiefs draft picks that are signed by this weekend? Five?
