The Return Of DMC:Thank Gonzalez It's Red Friday

It's that time again, that time when we preview the upcoming Chiefs game, and this should be a pretty good one.

Today the Chiefs will be facing the Tennessee Titans in a rematch of last year's catastrophic game that resulted in a blowout loss, and the season ending injuries of Mike DeVito and Derrick Johnson.

This game should be very much different. Our returning veterans will join with our talented rookies to form what should be a Titan crushing machine.

Here are the top 5 things I will be watching for:

1. Can Smith and Maclin do it again? Consistency is the key for success in the NFL, so Maclin and Smith need to be able to connect well each and every week.

2. Will the o-line hold up this time? Please let them hold up. Please.

3. Will Conley emerge as a receiving threat?

4. The battle against Dexter McCluster

5. Watching the 8 former Chiefs players who are on the Titans roster. Dexter McCluster, Anthony Fasano, Ryan Succop, Andy Studebaker, Alex Tanney, Ropati Pitoitua, Rico Richardson, and Phillip Supernaw.

These are my keys to the game:

1. Stop their run. They have a fluctuating backfield right now, and we need to take advantage of that instability, Mariota included.

2. Give the ball to Jamaal. Last season's loss was mostly due to us forcing the ball deep rather than giving the ball to our best player. Run the ball a lot and we should win.

3. Contain Contain Contain. The Titans have a ton of undersized speedsters, don't let Mariota throw short to them where they work best, force him to throw deep, then have Berry take away the deep ball.

My 3 predictions for the game are:

1. Dee Ford will get a sack

2. Aaron Murray still won't get to pass the ball.

3. The Chiefs will contain DMC, as our special teams defense smothered Tyler Lockett last week after he got a return touchdown the week before.

This should be another great preseason game.

Thank you for reading the 3rd episode of Thank Gonzalez It's Red Friday.
