Summertime is also top 100 players list time. The NFL Network is in the middle of their top 100 players countdown while Pro Football Focus has already completed their list of the top 101 players. Now Pete Prisco of CBS Sports comes in with his top 100 players list where we see three Kansas City Chiefs players represented:
10. LB Justin Houston: He was third in PFF's top 100 players list. Oddly, there are five defensive players ahead of him: JJ Watt, Ndamukong Suh, Richard Sherman, Darrelle Revis and ... Von Miller? Von Miller?!
86. CB Sean Smith: He was 44th in PFF's top 100 players list. I do think he should probably be a little higher on Prisco's list. Forget what happened before 2014, Smith was one of the best players at a premium position.
88. RB Jamaal Charles: He was 97th in PFF's top 100 players list. The overall numbers went down slightly but the effectiveness on a per-play basis did not. Let's just hope we don't see any more "I regret not giving it to Jamaal more" statements from Andy Reid this season.
Are these top 100 players lists missing any players? Should Dontari Poe be considered?
