Trade Houston?

Im sure this topic has been posted before; but I can't stop thinking about how much Justin Houston is handcuffing this organization. The Chiefs did not even make the playoffs last year, yet may be forced to release key contributors:Dwayne Bowe,Tamba Hali, Rodney Hudson and Ron Parker. This, while not being able to target a big name free agent to make up for it.

John Dorsey needs to explore the possibility of trading Houston for draft picks—especially if the coaching staff is confident in Dee Ford’s ability.

This would allow the Chiefs to do three great things:

1) Keep most or all of the following: Tamba Hali, Dwayne Bowe, Ron Parker and maybe Hudson.

2) Pursue a free agent like Randal Cobb: Our offensive weapons could be Cobb, Bowe, Wilson, Kelce, Charles, DAT plus whomever we draft--that's a monster upgrade!

3) Load up on potentially 9-10 HIGH round draft picks. Would a team with tons of cap space, like Bengals trade us their 2015 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th round picks? Or even Indianapolis who would be instant SB contenders by adding Houston.

Draft Example

Everyone says this is a deep draft; what better time to stockpile on picks:

1) Bud Dupree OLB (grab Houston’s replacement off-the-draw)

1) Landon Collins S (Must replace Berry/upgrade at the position)

2) Laken Tomlinson G (immediate starter and upgrade over McGlynn)

2) Paul Dawson ILB (DJ’s heir apparent)

3) Tyler Lockett WR (the WR are suddenly a strength)

3) Ali Marpet G/C (The offensive-line is a weakness no more)

3) Ifo Ekpre-Olomu CB (take the best CB available)

(And then theres still two 4th rounders, two 5th rounders which can yield quality depth.)

I realize that Houston is an absolute beast. But by trading him, we can potentially upgrade the entire offense while getting a plethora of draft picks to keep the defense competitive.
