The OFFICIAL Arrowhead Pride, Weekly Mock Draft:  2/9/2015

Alright, due to "popular request" (said nobody ever) I'm actually going to take a serious stab at this mock draft thing to get this week's way-too-early guesswork collection going, and if Dorsey pulls off a draft like this I'd give him a lifetime contract ...

1) ILB Willie Lanier - the Chiefs know that DJ isn't going to last forever, so Dorsey plans for the future by grabbing Lanier, a future HoF-er if there ever was one

2) OL Will Shields - this Husker dominated in his time with Nebraska and he'll do the same in the NFL. AS11 just got better, as did Jamaal Charles. Ok, JC couldn't get any better, but the OLine sure did

3a) WR Otis Taylor - not that the Chiefs did anything silly like a go an entire season w/o a single TD by a WR or anything, I mean that's impossible. Besides, we'd have heard about it if happened. Taylor pulls coverage away from Wilson and Kelce.

3b) S Johnny Robinson - We all love Eric Berry, but as there's no guarantee of a return, Dorsey does the wise thing and drafts a potential future star in Robinson.

4) TE Tony Gonzalez - TonyG comes off the board to learn under Kelce and possibly challenge Demetrius Harris for the #2TE position behind Travis Kelce.

5a) CB Albert Lewis - Just the way Dorsey likes 'em: tall and talented.

5b) OLB Bobby Bell - Dorsey knows the value of having a run-stuffing beast, and given the issues that Sutton's unit with run in 2014, Dorsey solidifies the talent around Houston and the emerging Dee Ford with Bell, both surprised and delighted that hhe's still on the board this late in the draft.

6a) WR Carlos Carson - Reid gets the deep threat speed he needs to stretch the field and unleash the full potential of the famous Alex Smith deep ball

6b) OL John Tait - "Big, strong and plays with attitude" says Dorsey. Value pick late in the draft.adds much needed depth to the OLine

7a) DE Buck Buchanon - with DeVito going down in 2014, Dorsey adds fresh depth to the rotation, a move that allows Bailey and others to stay healthy by eating up a few quality snaps

7b) RB Priest Holmes - knowing that Jamaal Charles can't last forever, KC seeks to find an eventual possible replacement for their star RB

There it is: i did one ... maybe now BAMF will get off my case. Probably not, but who cares . . As usual, the editors and staff of AP take no responsibility for the contents of this post. Mock responsibly.
