In just a few hours we'll find out if former Kansas City Chiefs guard Will Shields will be going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame or if we'll have to wait another year.
Earlier this week Shields joined Danny Parkins and Carrington Harrison on 610 Sports from Super Bowl week in Arizona. I found his answers on the best guys he played with and against pretty interesting.
The best he played with: G Brian Waters
Shields: The best guy I played with teammate-wise I guess would be Brian Waters. Very good guard. What was reallyc ool was that when Brian first came in he was a tight end / fullback and basically ended up becoming a guard. Very talented man. Strong as all get out. That's what you love about him. He could basically bench press the world.
The best he played against: DT John Randle
Shields: The guy that gave me the most issues was (former Vikings DT) John Randle. John Randle was a guy that basically set the tone for me as far as what I needed to become as an athlete to get even close to blocking him. Still to this day I think he could probably give me some fits here and there. He's one of those guys that was amazing at what he does.
