This is your nuts and bolts post for the 2015 NFC Championship game on Sunday afternoon. Soak this in because it's the last day of multiple football games for more than eight months. I'm already sad thinking about it.
The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks game kicks off at 2:05 p.m. (CT) on Sunday, January 18. The TV channel for the game is FOX. The game can be streamed live online through FOX as well. The Seahawks are a 7.5-point favorite. For some reason, I'm still picking the Packers to win, mostly because I picked them at the start of the season.
The last time these teams played came in Week 1 as the defending champion Seahawks hosted the Packers in the first game of the season. Seattle won the game, 36-16. Seattle has the potential to blow the Packers out; the only way I see Green Bay winning is in a close game (which I think it will be).
Seattle is a tough team to beat when they get their run game going. You can't expect to rely on many if any mistakes from them at home. This will be a difficult game for Green Bay but that's why they have the best quarterback in football. These are exactly the types of games you hope your star quarterback Aaron Rodgers can help you win.
Former Chiefs on the Seahawks include TE Tony Moeaki and OL Lemuel Jeanpierre (signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2010). The only former Chief on the Packers I found was S Jean Fanor, who was a 2012 undrafted free agent signee in Kansas City. I'm also looking forward to seeing how future Chief Randall Cobb plays today....
I'm taking the Packers in an upset. Matt Verderame is taking the Seahawks. Who ya got?
