Opinions on the O-line.

Let me start this out with a disclaimer. I know very little on how to judge the O-line. To me it is pretty simple on judging how good of a job certain O-linemen do by whether or not they keep the opposing D-linemen away from the QB or if they open up a whole for the RB to run through. I know it is more complicated then that and they have other responsibilities like providing throwing lanes for the QB and cutting the linemen down so the QB can throw in their direction without the ball getting batted down.

At the beginning of the off season after we lost 3 O-linemen to Free Agency. Many APer's including myself were worried about the O-line. After watching the 1st preseason game. I am not concerned about the O-line as much as I was prior to the game. Fisher had a hard time a few plays, but overall seemed that he can handle the position. I think all he needs is some time to adjust and maybe be a little more prepared for the Bull rush. Fulton impressed me. When I watched him, I did not see anyone get by him. There were a couple times that he was just standing there in position to block someone but could not locate anyone. I do not know if he was suppose to be helping the center out or if he was just suppose to hold that position and pick up anyone that may try to blitz through that gap.

The rest of the line pretty well lived up to the 1st string rating. They did however have the benefit of playing last year. I was just wondering what other APer's thought of the O-line.
