Last month Pro Football Focus came out with a list of its Top 101. Jamaal Charles was the highest-ranking Chief at number 11, behind Marshawn Lynch at 10 and LeSean McCoy at 8.

My main problem with the idea of these kinds of lists is they compare apples to oranges and oranges to donuts. How can you compared a corner to an outside linebacker, or worse, a corner to a running back, or even worse yet, every position to every other position?

I kept looking for Matt Forte on this list (maybe my eyes are deceiving me). After all, he only had about 50 total yards from scrimmage less than Charles and over 300 yards more than Lynch had but could not even crack the list. Bizarre. And why is Lynch ranked ahead of Charles? Because his team won a Super Bowl? Or is it because major flaws exist in PFF's grading system?

Sometimes, a traditional statistical table will work just fine.

As for other Chiefs ranking, Justin Houston was ranked 21st, just behind Earl Thomas and just ahead of Devin McCourty. Dontari Poe was ranked 30th, Tamba Hali 57th. Derrick Johnson failed to make their list.

But I will give Pro Football Focus credit. Kendrick Lewis didn't make the cut.
