Necessary Additions for the Kansas City Offense

The Chiefs didn't make any "big" moves in the off-season, for both defense and offense. Sure, having Joe Mays play Inside Linebacker will be nice, and Jeff Linkenbach will be a solid blocker, but what does this franchise really need? The answer is simple: Start Eric Kush, trade for Legarrette Blount. Imagine this; Blount running behind Kush for a first down. Simple put, their names would make it worth it. Blount would be a decent enough back for any team, but when you have a offensive lineman named Kush, you CANNOT pass up to opportunity to have a guy with the last name Blount running off him. This will cause spontaneous laughing fits for defensive lineman and linebackers everywhere. "Blount wraps around Kush, and converts for a touchdown!"

It's music to my ears, and I can hear the commentators saying it now.

How Would Kansas City Acquire Blount?

The Chiefs already have the best RB in the league, and a great backup in Knile Davis, but who needs either of them? If they could snatch Blount from Pittsburgh for Jamaal Charles, it would be worth it! TRADE JAMAAL, GET BLOUNT! It's easy as that, and any team would be stupid to decline this trade. So what if Jamaal had a career season! Think about it. Would you rather have the best running back in the league, or weed jokes every time the new starting running back runs the ball. If Pittsburgh declines the trade (for some crazy reason) KC could just throw in the next 2 years 1st round picks. Who needs'em! Pittsburgh would be set for a few years, but it doesn't matter. By that time, the work of Kush blocking for Blount will pay, and be the most effective RB/OL tandem in the NFL.

What About Kush?

So, Rodney Hudson did great last year, but you know what? Doesn't matter. We need Kush. KC needs Kush. This nation, need some Kush in their life. In the word of The Incredible Hulk, "It's Kusherin time!" So, it is kind of obvious what must be done. Hudson will move down to second string, Kush will be the starter, everyone will ap

prove. With the support of the rest of the OL, Kush will do great, especially if Blount is wrapping around him.

In Conclusion...

The Chiefs will be fine and prosper. The team chemistry will improve with Kush and Blount. Hopefully the Kush and Blount duo will be too strong and potent for other teams to handle, leading to many Chiefs victories.
