The Chiefs and First Round Picks from LSU

The Chiefs have taken quite a few first round picks from LSU. The first was RB Harvey Williams in the 1991 draft. He never saw playing time with Christian Okoye, Barry Word, and later Marcus Allen ahead of him.

The second was Dwayne Bowe. The third LSU player taken in the first round of the 2007 draft, Bowe has yet to turn into the #1 receiver the Chiefs drafted him to be.

Glenn Dorsey was taken in the first round the following year. And again, the Chiefs drafted a player from LSU that never really panned out.

Finally, the Chiefs took Tyson Jackson in the first round in the 2009 draft hoping to find a gem. But yet again, the Chiefs got another Tiger that wasn't what they drafted him to be.

Now this year, many are saying that the Chiefs are going to take another LSU player in the first round. I don't know if it is just a coincidence or if it is just bad luck, but I hope that if Odell Beckham is the Chiefs pick, he can reverse the trend.
