We have a lot of needs, particularly for depth. I think the following players could conceivably end up undrafted, and would be worth a look.
Kevin Danser - OG - Stanford, 6'5", 312 lbs. Stanford seems to develop pretty decent linemen (DeCastro, Yankey, etc.), and I think Danser is another one who will be solid in the NFL. Could be our depth guy. Could even win the starting job, depending on what we do with Schwartz/Asamoah.
Jacques Washington - FS - Iowa State, 6'0", 220 lbs, prolific tackler at ISU, not afraid of contact, averaged close to 10 tackles per game his senior year. Runs about a 4.55 40, which isn't super fast, but pretty fast for a bigger free safety.
Ciante Evans - CB - Nebraska, 5'10", 193 lbs, 4.5 40, again, speed is the knock against him, but a decent cover corner. Had 4 INTs, 5 PD, 11 tackles for loss, including 3 sacks.
Jeremiah George - ILB - Iowa State (What can I say, I'm a homer...), 5'11", 234 lbs, runs about a 4.8 40, prolific tackler with 11 tackles pg his senior year. Probably more of a rush LB, not so good in coverage. Ranked 4th nationally in tackles.
Kenarious Gates - OT - Georgia, 6'4", 327, played LT in the best conference in football. Played across from Jadaveon Clowney, and held him to 3 tackles and 1 sack.
Jonathan Brown - OLB - Illinois, 6'0", 238, good bull rush, not great in coverage, strings the play out well, i.e. good lateral movement. Not great straight line speed at 5.03. Had 119 tackles this year, including 15 TFL, and 5 sacks.
Casey Pachall - QB - Good camp body. Had some drug problems in college. Good arm strength and quick release. Could be a steal.
De'Anthony Thomas - RB - Oregon, 5'9", 174 - small quick RB, who could be a returner for us, and more of a slot guy than a RB. Quick and elusive.
Brock Vereen - SS - Minnesota, 6'0", 199 lbs - need a backup for Berry, if it isn't Parker. This guy has decent speed at 4.47. I also like Dezman Southward, but think he might get drafted late.
Let me know what you think....
