I have been wondering if Champ Bailey could play FS for the Chiefs. When he got cut I kept thinking someone would write about the possibility of this and it hasn't happened. I have always been a fan of the way he played the game. He always found a way to make the tackle when no one else could. He always tackled LJ when no one else on the Broncos could. He also has made some plays for picks where he wasn't even guarding the guy that was thrown to. I know he has lost some speed but he is so smart I think he could make up for it. I do think he is too slow for the corner position but I think he could be a great FS. Others have gone on from corner to a successful transition to safety. Ronnie Lot and Rod Woodson come to mind as others that have done that feet. I know he is kind of small for a safety but like I said he always was a good tackler and I would love to see him pick six Manning for us. IMO he would be better than the safeties we had last year. I don't know if he would like to play safety as I think he still wants to play corner, but he will do anything to play if a corner position isn't offered him anywhere. Anyhow l'm curious as to what you guys think.
