QB David Fales being scouted by Alex Smith?

From the FanPosts -Joel

San Jose State QB David Fales, and other Spartan players, performed Wednesday to a crowd of NFL scouts at the San Jose State pro day, including several from the 49ers.

Who else was in attendance? KC Chiefs QB Alex Smith, and former QB Trent Dilfer.

According to Matt Barrows, the Sacramento Bee reporter and young Lex Luther lookalike:

Smith's wife's family lives in the area, and he spends parts of his offseasons here despite playing for the Chiefs. He and Fales trained together last offseason and the two will work with San Jose State strength and conditioning coach Gary Uribe over the next two months. "So I'm going to be really looking forward to that," Fales said. "You get to train with someone whose been around the league for a while and knows it - it's awesome. He's a great guy, too."

So was Alex watching in the stands for business or pleasure?

Fales reportedly has a private workout scheduled with the Vikings this weekend.

Note by Joel: Also of note to Chiefs fans...
