All this talk about in house options, I was looking at positions of need. Who is the heir to the pass rushing duo? Clearly Frank Zombo is depth, not the future.
Made me look more on Mike Catapano, and this came up on rotoworld (via kansas city star).
"Catapano is a bit of a 'tweener at 6-foot-3, 271, but K.C.'s coaching staff believes he's athletic enough to convert from college defensive end. "He’s got a little knack for pass rushing," said coach Andy Reid. Catapano is being crosstrained at outside 'backer on early downs and inside 'backer in the nickel."
However, the mothership has him listed as DE. I think this could give some insight on what KC's looking for in the later rounds. Could Catapano be the future opposite of Houston?
