Just as in tampering with a player before free agency there needs to be put a Claus in somewhere about how things are handled with agents and players in free agency. If a deal is agreed upon by both parties ie via a handshake or verbal in which all negotiations should be taped and recorded is broken said player and agent and also the team that signs the player listed will receive the following disciplinary matters. It could be one of or as many of three things 1st the player would be suspended for 2 games as that player agrees to have that agent working for him. Second a draft pick would be surrendered by the team that signs said player the following year according to how the performance of the player. Could be up to a first round selection down to a fourth round selection. Depending if player makes pro bowl and how many snaps and the contract he received ie the higher contract with more money the higher the draft pick surrendered. Third the agent involved would surrender up to but no more than twenty-five percent of said contract to the retired disabled NFL association. This is what i propose to stop all this non sense feel free to add and help structure something to add to for trying to get this done thank you for reading.
On a side note as I have read many other complaints reversing the above said deal between the Chiefs and Sanders about how the team does the same thing that is incorrect. IMO that player being cut by the team already has a contract and lawyers and agents already read and negotiate giving that power to the teams to be able to do it. If said player is approached and told they are being cut it is because it has already been approved by said player in a contract Claus which again is signed by said player and again proofread by agents and people. In other words a signed contract is legal. Teams cover their basis as should the players involved they can have their agents put in Clauses as well
