In the midst of all the insanity that comes with this year's free agency signings I decided I would write a fanpost to get some more insight from all of you. Up until Reid/Dorsey/Smith walked into One Arrowhead Drive, I didn't really pay attention to what the FO did and just cheered us on regardless of who was at the helm. It was about the time that we made the moves for those three that a co-worker showed me Arrowhead Pride. I started to pick up on more than I did before, started really paying attention to our players, who we were looking at in the draft, etc. But there are several things I have yet to pick up on and am wondering where you guys would recommend I start.
Aside from the minor things I've picked up on while playing Madden (which, let's be real, probably isn't that much) I don't know where to start learning about schemes, cap space/contracts, or coverages. I get the basics but get lost once I start reading comments about specific coverages and the things that come with that (dime, nickel, over/under, etc) and today after Schwartz and Asamoah left a lot of people were mentioning a ZBS offensive scheme and swing tackle. So my request to you is for some guidance where myself and others like me could get a good start to understanding all the intricate parts of football. Thanks in advance AP!
