First off, this is my first mock draft, as well as my first fanpost. Please forgive any and all amature mistakes I may make.
I wanted to address one of, in my opinion, our biggest weakness so at the 23rd pick of the draft I chose: Jarvis Landry WR out of LSU. Stand 6'1" and sporting 195 lbs Landry isn't "big" WR but he has AMAZING body control, tends to catch the ball with these things called hands. With Mccluster being a possible FA and Avery being less than what many expected. Some people my beilieve that Landry is a reach but I expect him to on draft boards through out the off season plus he would give AS11 a reliable speedy WR to put opposite of Bowe. Obviously in RD 2 at the moment we don't have a pick...
So in RD3 with the 87th pick I went with: Dion Bailey S out of S Cal. Dion runs a 4.52 40 stats at 6'0" weighting 200 lbs. He has played both S and OLB and thought that probably hurt his draft stock it is part of why I think Mr. Dorsey should get him. He is big enough to take on some of the bigger running backs or to cover some TE yet fast enough to keep up with many slot WRs. I believe he would fit the Chiefs D scheme as he could play a role similar to what EB did last year allowing #29 to play more CF and get more INTS. Deion Belue CB from Alabama
Deion spent two years at a Juco before making it to Alabama, has experience with returning, ran a 4.48 is 5'11" 183 Lbs. He is smaller than what Dorsey has shown he likes in a DB. But adding on the fact that he returns kicks and would be a nickle corner Belue would fit well in our scheme as he would usually line up against smaller WR and not the Megatrons of the NFL. Belue held the #1 corner spot in 2013 despite battling an injured toe.
DeDe Lattimore ILB
6'0" 237 lbs. I watched this guy hit and wow. He could be a great back up or maybe push for the starting role next to DJ. Not as fast as DJ he has the same tenacity when it comes to getting to the ball carrier. Including one play where i saw him recover from a chop block and finish of a ball carrier at the goal line... oh and did i mention that play ended up a fumble because of DeDe's hit?
Shermae Stephen DT Depth at the DE postion.
Russell Bodine C/G Depth for the interior line.
So what does everyone think, who makes sense, who left you scratching your head, and who would you rather have.
