Brandon Flowers might be the best cornerback we have in our roster, buthe just doesn't for our scheme at that position. Flowes is better in zone than he is playing straight up man to man. Can he play some man and do a decent job? One thing Flowers does an exceptional job at is tackling and diagnosing the play. One of the many questions this offseason is where will the Chiefs find a Free safety? Will it be the draft or in free agency? We might just have that man on our roster right now. Flowers best part of his game is sitting back and reading the QB and diagnosing the play. He has excelled at that when we run zone plays. Flowers has the speed to play deep and cover sideline to sideline and he isn't afraid to come up and make a tackle in the run game. The New regime has shown they like taller corners. We have two right now and as many of you know we will need another with today's NFL. Flowers just doesn't have the heighth that this regime is looking for, but he has all the skills this scheme is asking for in a Free safety. Another plus in putting flowers at free safety would be that there are times when this scheme asks the Free Safety to play some man in a blitzing situation and Flowers can do that in some situational points in the game. He isn't afraid to come up and hit so they could use him well when they blitz the free safety. I know this move isn't likely to happen, but it seems as if it would be a good fit for a player we already have that has had his struggles at his current position.
