The good news on the KC Chiefs Wednesday injury report is that Travis Kelce was a limited participant in practice with his sore ribs. Andy Reid didn't sound like it was something that would keep him out. So that's the best news of the day.
Junior Hemingway strained his hamstring in last weekend's game and did not practice on Wednesday but Reid said he was doing better than they thought so perhaps there's still hope he can be available on Sunday.
Justin Houston popped up on the injury report with an ankle injury but practiced in full so you gotta think he's good to go for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
The rest of it is about the same. Reid said the Chiefs are going to continue to work Eric Berry back in with the scout team as they did last week. Berry has been out since Week 2.
Chris Owens, injured in the Week 5 49ers game, remains out.
Meanwhile, Donnie Avery has been ruled out of Sunday's game. He had his sports hernia surgery a few days before the Chiefs played the 49ers. Sounds like he will need more time.
