This has been the story with all of our losses we come out and dominate the first half, only to see our defense destroyed in the second half. Happened in The losses to Denver, the first loss to San Diego, and now the playoff loss to Indianapolis. Listen guys, I'm a simple man, I'm not an expert I played a little ball in highschool, but to me our team is more talented then the Colts on defense and on offense, same with many teams we play. Our offense came out and despite losing Jamaal charles, Alex lit them up, the dude went blitz creak, bombing to ball to avery and dbowe, running for huge chunks, and pitching the ball to sherman etc, he carried our offense and they responded hell even our line looked pretty dang good. Our defense started out amazing and the S'd the bed I mean flat out embarrassing.
It's like during the half other teams coaches are actually you know, coming up with adjustments, coming out and kicking our ass. Instead of actually doing the same and coming up with new schemes etc, we just do business as usual, this works on bums but on good teams it don't. The sad thing is if D-bowe's foot was about 3 inches to his left we would have won, but it should have never been that close. If a team gives up 4 turnovers and the other team capitalizes on those 4 turnovers, the team loses. In what world do you put up 44 points, the score is 38-10 at half and you lose the game. I've never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life. If you don't fire your dc then something is wrong.
The good news is, we have a good QB for the first time since Trent Green, our o-line is really starting to click, We don't really need much on our offense to compete with anyone. On defense our d-line is good, it's mainly our secondary, and even more specific our FS that needs addressing. Guys this was a tough one I was PISSED! I tried to tell myself it's just a game, but I'm not gonna lie this one really got to me, I notice after I started being a dick to my wife for no reason but unlike the Chiefs defense I made an adjustment, I went to the gym worked out like a mad man and got all that garbage out of my system. So cheer up everyone, I know this one was rough but focus on the season as a whole, it was a fun ride much better then any of us thought it would be.
