Deion Sanders selects two Chiefs for his Pro Bowl team -

Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, known by that nickname during his playing days, selected Charles and Houston defensive end J.J. Watt to be captains for his team during Sunday’s NFL all-star game in Honolulu. Chiefs nose tackle Dontari Poe also was selected by Sanders on Tuesday.

Pro Bowl 2014 draft, Day 1 results -

The Pro Bowl rosters won't be entirely filled until Day 2 of the draft on Wednesday, but they began to take shape Tuesday. Team captains were selected, and the teams drafted interior defensive and offensive linemen, fullbacks and special teams players.

Eastern Illinois’ Garoppolo impresses at Senior Bowl practice -

On Tuesday, Oklahoma receiver Jalen Saunders, Tulane receiver Ryan Grant, Florida receiver Solomon Patton, Lindenwood cornerback Pierre Desir and LSU safety Craig Loston said they had been interviewed by the Chiefs.

Alex Smith could benefit from Pro Bowl - ESPN

But Smith could benefit from being named as a replacement for Tom Brady of the New England Patriots. Smith will be perceived differently now that the Pro Bowl tag is attached to his name. At the very least, he’s no longer the former overall No. 1 pick in the draft who never amounted to much.

NFL considering proposal to abolish extra points -

"The extra point is almost automatic," Goodell said. "I believe we had five missed extra points this year out of 1,200 some odd (attempts). So it's a very small fraction of the play, and you want to add excitement with every play. "There's one proposal in particular that I've heard about," Goodell went on. "It's automatic that you get seven points when you score a touchdown, but you could potentially go for an eighth point, either by running or passing the ball, so if you fail, you go back to six."

The Kansas City Chiefs Should Trade Brandon Flowers - Arrowhead Addict

Today, the Chiefs want to run a press man scheme and want tall Cornerbacks. How tall is Flowers? He is five foot nine inches. The Chiefs recently interviewed two Cornerbacks at the Senior Bowl, Keith McGill and Stanley Jean Babtiste. Both are quite tall, measuring in at six feet two inches tall or more. How tall is Sean Smith? He is six foot three inches. How tall is Marcus Cooper? He is six foot two inches tall. Flowers just doesn’t fit the profile that Dorsey/Reid want in a Cornerback.
