As the Indianapolis Colts prepare to host the Kansas City Chiefs, both teams are seeing signs of life on injury reports, especially for Indy as Darrius Heyward-Bey returned to a full practice on Thursday.
The Colts have endured their share of injuries to overcome -- none greater than the loss of wide receiver Reggie Wayne for the season -- but the active roster was nearly at full strength for Thursday's practice. Only defensive lineman Fili Moala was unable to practice. Heyward-Bey, who had been limited on Wednesday, was a full participant on Thursday. You can find the full Colts injury report here.
Moala has played in all 16 games for the Colts this season and offers solid size along the defensive front. He's even started 6 games and played the majority of snaps for the Colts late in the season. If Moala is unable to play, it will definitely thin the ranks on run defense for the Colts. Moala had a sack and two hurries against Alex Smith and the Chiefs in Week 15.
The Chiefs play the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, January 4th at 3:35 p.m. (KC time).
