And then there were two. The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks have advanced to the 2014 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium. The Broncos beat the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game, 26-16, while the Seahawks came back to beat the San Francisco 49ers, 23-17 in the NFC Championship game.
There is a two week gap in the Super Bowl schedule -- the Pro Bowl is played next weekend -- so the game will be played on Sunday, February 2 at 6:25 p.m. ET. It will be played on FOX.

The Broncos were the best team in the AFC for much of the year. They had the best individual performance of the season in Peyton Manning and the quarterback records he broke. Chiefs fans obviously know who the Broncos are, having lost to them twice this season.
Peyton Manning did it, with 55 touchdowns in the regular season and 400 yards in the AFC Championship Game.Louis Vasquez did it, not allowing a sack on #18 through 18 games. Terrance Knighton did it, with a team rally late in the season and a 4th down sack of Tom Brady when it mattered. Champ Baileydid it, with a redemptive performance against the New England Patriots that saw him earn his first Super Bowl berth. Adam Gase and Jack Del Rio did it, with brilliant gameplans that showed the Patriots (and everyone else the Broncos faced) were no match for the 2013 Broncos.
The Seahawks were one of the top teams in the NFC all season long as well. Plenty of people picked the Seahawks and Broncos in the 2014 Super Bowl. The Seahawks have arguably the league's best defense and one of the top running games.
Seahawks won a hard fought, ugly, back-and-forth game that came down to the final minute and are headed to New York to face Peyton Manning and the Broncos in the Super Bowl. That was the ugliest, stupidest, most amazing game I can remember. It was way worse and way better than I could ever have imagined. A true heavyweight bout that went all the way to the final round. I'm completely exhausted.
This game is a lot of fun because of the various contrasts in style. You have Peyton Manning, the traditional drop-back quarterback vs. Russell Wilson, one of the new breed quarterbacks who can do it all. The Broncos have the NFL's best offense while the Seahawks have one of the top defenses. This is going to be a fun game.
A Chiefs fan's worst nightmare: two AFC West teams in the #SuperBowl and neither is from KC. (Ok...one is a former AFC West team, but jeez.)
