NFL playoff schedule 2014: Game time, date and schedule for Patriots-Broncos, 49ers-Seahawks

Welcome to game day! The AFC and NFC Championship games will be taking place this afternoon. Read on for information on how to watch those games, which TV channel it's on, live online streaming, odds and lots more.

Greetings everyone. We have both the AFC and NFC Championship games this afternoon, which means we will soon know the 2014 Super Bowl teams. The New England Patriots visit the Broncos in Denver for the first game and the Seattle Seahawks host the San Francisco 49ers in the second game. The Broncos and Seahawks are the two favorites in these games.

You can use this as your open thread.

Most Chiefs fans in our poll are cheering for the Patriots over the Broncos today. And, hey, I can't blame them. Who would root for Denver after they beat down the Chiefs twice already? Peyton Manning is having an amazing year and that's all good but, sorry, I don't want to see Denver winning this game. I'm still bitter.

Chiefs fans are also rooting for our old pals the Seahawks, who were once in the same division as the Chiefs before moving to the NFC. This is a terrific piece on the evolution that's taken place in Seattle over the last few years, and Pete Carroll's hand in it. Chiefs fans are plenty familiar with the 49ers due to the Alex Smith trade (and the Jon Baldwin trade!). The 49ers will be getting the Chiefs 2014 second round pick because they won more than eight games this season, a condition of the trade.

One more neat thing about these games today: The Chiefs play all of them next season! Indeed, the Chiefs 2014 schedule looks tough and the proof is that almost one-third of their 2014 schedule is playing today. Ouch.
